COACHING STAFF AND BOARD:
The purpose of the
last chance meet is to allow swimmers who have not achieved a
county time in any stroke and swimmers who have achieved a county
time in only one stroke and who are very close to a county
time in a stroke to have a last chance at making a county time. To
keep the meet size, length, and workload manageable and out of
courtesy to the volunteers and coaches who help out at the last
chance meet, please
do NOT sign up to attend this meet if your swimmer:
- already has a
county time in two strokes
- is not very
close to a county time in any strokes (use your judgement, but
typically, "very close" would mean within a few seconds for races
of 50 yards or longer or within one or two seconds for races of 25
yards).

Diablo Country
Club is happy to be hosting a "Last
Chance" swim meet for swimmers to get an official time
to qualify for the 2010 County Championships.
When: Wednesday, August
4th at
Time: Meet begins
promptly at 5:30 p.m.
Location:
Diablo Country Club Pool
Warm-ups will begin at 4:00 p.m.
Please note the following:
· One swim
per stroke
· I.M.'s
will run at the beginning of the meet and the end - your swimmer
can choose only one time to swim an I.M.
· $5 Splash
Fee per swimmer
· $2 per
stroke per swimmer
· CASH OR
CHECK ONLY (Checks made out to "Diablo Swim Team")
· They will
need assistance with timers and stroke and turn
·
Warm-up times will begin at 4 p.m. Information on warm-up lanes
will be available at the meet.
**Below
is a preliminary meet program (they will reseed on the deck if
there are deck adds, so heat/lane info is subject to
change.) There is also the entry lists (one team per
page) so you can confirm your pre-entered swimmers and their
entries. Event list is included, too, showing IM events at the end
of the meet for those who want to do other events
first.
IMPORTANT:
· All
swimmers in IM are currently placed in the first events. If
your swimmers would like to swim at the end, please have them
let them know when you check in so they get them in the
right event.
· At
check-in, there will be a line for pre-entered swimmers and
one for deck adds.
· Cost
is $5 per swimmer, plus $2 per event. Checks made out to Diablo
Swim Team.
· They
may combine events if there is a single swimmer in an
event. They will try to keep the age groups together for the
best possible competition, but might combine genders. If you have
concerns, please let them know.
