2013 Summer Swim
Season
Blackhawk Swim Team (HOX) is a recreational swim
program that combines training and competitive swim meets with
friendship building, teamwork and fun! The season kicks off
on April 16th and runs through the beginning of August. The
team competes in
8-10 meets from late May to mid-August, typically on
Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings. During the week there
are daily
practices, working on stroke improvement and
conditioning.
In addition to practicing and competing in
meets, the HOX host numerous
social activities throughout the summer.
You can expect age-specific activities as well as many that include
the entire family. The HOX swim team is for swimmers 18 years
of age and younger, from the novice to experienced
swimmer!
Note: A swim, tennis, or golf membership at
Blackhawk Country Club is required to swim on the team, at clinics
or participate in Mini HOX. You do not have to live in Blackhawk to
be a member of the country club.

2013
Registration
Registration for
the 2013 season will begin online February 1,
2013.
Parents and swimmers are
to attend our registration event on Sunday, February
24th, 2013 from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm in the Lakeside
Ballroom.
HOX 14 & Under
The fees for swimmers
14 years old and younger is $450 per child. Fees are due in
full on February
24th, if paying by check. Fees will be charged
in two equal installments on March and April statements when paying
by Blackhawk Country Club membership number if registering in
February. If registering after February, fees will be charged
in full. If you have not
registered for the team and your child is practicing on April 30th,
your member account will be charged in
full.
Refund Policy: There is a $5
administrative fee when you cancel at any time after the
registration process. If you cancel before April 30th at
5:00pm, you can drop from the program and receive your money back,
less a $150 cancellation fee. After April 30th no refunds
will be given for any reason.
HOX 15 & Up
No fee to participate.
Mini HOX
The Mini HOX program was
created to expose children to the fun and excitement of
participating on a recreational swim team and to prepare them to
participate on the HOX swim team in 2014. This program begins
TBD and is ideal for young children who enjoy the water but may
find it challenging to swim the full length of a 25 yard
competition pool.
Mini HOX
practices are conducted by seasoned coaches and instructors who
will be on the deck and in the water with the Mini HOX daily.
The program will focus on teaching stroke technique in all four
competitive strokes: backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly and
freestyle. It is not a private swim lesson and it is not
appropriate for children who are not water-safe and/or potty
trained, no swim diapers. Your child should be 3-6 years old
by June 15, 2013 to participate in the Mini HOX program. This
program is only for Blackhawk Country Club swim, tennis or golf
members. The fees for the Mini HOX program are $250 per
child.
Mini
HOX Practice Times:
There will be a Mini HOX
graduation at the Sports Complex before the
HOX swim meet. All Mini HOX
will swim one length of the pool.
